The Pinedale Food Basket distributes boxes of food to families with financial difficulties. Community donations to our thrift store and your purchases there provide a major portion of the income for purchasing food for these distributions. Other food is donated by the community and the rest is purchased from monetary contributions given to the Food Basket.
The Food Basket will begin its fall distribution on Saturday, October 16, 2010. Families must be registered ahead in order to participate so that we can order the appropriate quantities of food.
If your family has a need, the first sign-up time will be this Wednesday, Sept. 22, from 11 to 3 pm at the Food Basket. Come in and talk to us and please bring a photo ID, proof of residence (like a power bill), and a copy of your 2009 tax form.
